Kristen Bell’s Dinner Party Leaves Fans in Awe with Star-Studded Guest List

The 2023 Event in Swan Valley
In 2023, the Good Place star shared a series of photos on Instagram, capturing moments from her dinner party in Swan Valley, Idaho. Among the pictures was a group shot featuring some of Hollywood’s biggest names at South Fork Lodge, which Jimmy Kimmel purchased in 2020.
A Star-Studded Guest List
The guest list included Friends stars Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, who were seated opposite each other. A few seats down, fans could spot Jason Bateman from Arrested Development and Adam Scott from Parks and Recreation. Across the table was Bell’s husband, Dax Shepard, grinning widely. Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, was positioned toward the far end of the table, along with CNN’s Jake Tapper.
The star-studded lineup didn’t end there. Comedian John Mulaney, actress Olivia Munn, YouTuber Mark Rober, actress Shiri Appleby, and actor-writer Tim Curcio were also in attendance.

Many users were amazed by the number of celebrities in one photo and shared their reactions on various social media platforms.

One user on X (formerly Twitter) posted the snap with the caption: “This photo from Kristen Bell’s dinner party gets increasingly WTF as you go down the table,” while another quipped: “Ellen’s Oscars selfie walked so Kristen’s dinner table selfie could soar.”
Criticism and Lack of Diversity
However, not everyone was thrilled with the picture. Many users on X commented on the lack of diversity among the guests. One person remarked, “Kristen Bell had 400 people show up and they didn’t split a single melanin cell between them. Maybe the diversity is holding the camera.” Another user added, “Kristen Bell having a friends table, which was posted as ‘OMG spot the celebrity!!!’ hit me as odd because she apparently doesn’t have any Black costars. It just low key confirms how Hollywood is a White protected ingroup and little has actually changed.”

A Yearly Tradition
The Nobody Wants This star revealed that the retreat, hosted by Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney, is an annual tradition. In a 2019 interview with Forbes, Bell shared that around 40 friends attend every year. “Jimmy Kimmel and [his wife, Jimmy Kimmel Live producer] Molly McNearney, who are two of our best friends, organize it,” she said. “They run that camping trip the way they run the show. So, everybody has a job. They’re like you’re on crafts, you’re on cooking, you’re on the generator, whatever. It’s super fun.”
