Woman Living on a Cruise Ship Shares Surprising Rules She Must Follow
Christine Kesteloo, a lifestyle influencer who spends months living aboard cruise ships, has revealed some surprising rules she must adhere to while sailing.

Living on the ship as the wife of a Staff Chief Engineer, Christine enjoys complimentary accommodations and meals while her husband works. However, her unique lifestyle comes with certain restrictions.
The Rules of Life on Board
In a TikTok video, Christine explained the four main rules she must follow to continue enjoying her time on the ship:
- No Gambling

As an extension of the crew, Christine must always be punctual.“No, they will not wait for us,” she said, explaining that even her husband could lose his role if they miss the ship.

Christine is not allowed to record passengers or crew members, especially during emergencies such as medical evacuations.“If there is a crew member or guest that has gone overboard and we do a search, I am not showing you videos of the medical evacuation.”
However, she clarified that she is free to record and post videos when off the ship. - Giving Up Her Spot
Christine must vacate her space in guest areas when they are crowded, as a courtesy to paying passengers.
Perks and Limitations
While Christine enjoys free meals onboard, she has to pay for sodas and alcohol—albeit with a 50% discount. She also emphasized that while her lifestyle might sound idyllic, these rules help maintain professionalism and fairness aboard the ship.
