A Personal and Heartfelt Message
The official Christmas card, which was revealed just in time for the holiday season, showcases a family portrait that was captured during a significant moment earlier this year. The photo, taken by filmmaker Will Warr, shows the royal couple and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—smiling and embracing each other, following a year filled with emotional hurdles for the family.
The card features a simple yet meaningful message: “Wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year.”
Sharing the Moment on Social Media
The royal family shared a version of the Christmas card on their Instagram account, where it quickly gained popularity. In just 24 hours, the post received over 215,000 likes, along with hundreds of supportive comments from fans expressing their love and best wishes.
One fan wrote, “Perfect Christmas card for everyone who watched the video. Have a blessed and healthy celebration,” while another shared, “Merry Christmas to this beautiful family. It’s been a rough 2024, but you’ve made it through together. 2025 will be full of health and joy. We love you all!” A third fan commented, “Thanks for your beautiful card!! Happy Christmas, wishing your family a happy and healthy New Year.”

The Emotional Journey Behind the Card
The family photo comes after a poignant video released in September, in which Princess Catherine shared her completion of chemotherapy. The 42-year-old had previously announced in March that she was battling cancer, which led to an outpouring of support from the public.
In the emotional video, Catherine reflected on the past nine months: “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant, and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
She went on to describe the personal challenges of her cancer journey, emphasizing the vulnerability it brought to her family. “With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”
Princess Catherine also expressed gratitude for the support they received, adding, “William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time.”
Wishing a Bright Future for the Family
As the royal family prepares for the New Year, Princess Catherine extended her thoughts to others going through similar challenges. “To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”
