‘World’s Smartest Man 210 IQ’ Gives Fascinating Answer About God’s Existence

World's Smartest Man

Chris Langan, often referred to as the “world’s smartest man” due to his estimated IQ of 190 to 210, has shared his thoughts on the existence of God, offering a perspective grounded in his Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe (CTMU).

Best known for developing the CTMU, a theory that seeks to unify reality, consciousness, and existence, Langan delves into complex metaphysical questions, including those about the divine.

Langan’s Perspective on God

In an interview on CTMU Radio, Langan stated unequivocally that he believes in God.

“Yes. Yes, reality has an identity. The identity is that as which something exists. Matter of fact, when you say the word reality, you’re naming an identity. You’re identifying something,” he explained.

He further elaborated that the properties of reality correspond with characteristics traditionally attributed to God.

“That’s what the CTMU says. It just comes up with a mathematical structure that you need to build a reality out of that. So, you come up with that identity, and then you search it for its properties. Once you’ve built the preliminary framework, you start deducing the properties of this identity and you find out that those properties match those of God, as described in most of the world’s major religions.”

Langan’s view reframes God not as a personified deity but as the identity underpinning the interconnected properties of reality itself.

Langan on Death and the Afterlife

In a separate discussion on the Theories of Everything podcast with Curt Jaimungal, Langan shared his thoughts on death and what happens afterward.

He described death as the end of the relationship with one’s physical body but not the end of existence.

“That’s the termination of your relationship with your particular physical body that you have at this present time,” Langan explained. “When you are retracted from this reality, you go back up toward the origin of reality. You can be provided with a substitute body, another kind of terminal body that allows you to keep on existing.”

Langan suggests that consciousness continues beyond physical death, returning to what he calls the “origin of reality.”

Rather than adhering to traditional ideas of an afterlife, he likens this state to a meditative experience:

“Now you’re basically meditating, seeing everything change. However, you exist that way right now. Arguably, all of your lifetimes, if you were to be reincarnated again and again, all of those reincarnations are meta-simultaneous. There is a sense in which they all occur at once in the non-terminal domain.”

A New Lens on Existence

Langan’s theories offer a unique perspective, merging metaphysics and advanced logic to tackle some of humanity’s most profound questions. While his views challenge conventional religious and scientific frameworks, they provide a thought-provoking approach to understanding reality and existence.
