Allegations Against Jay-Z and Diddy

A woman who previously accused Jay-Z of rape has now acknowledged inconsistencies in her allegations. The civil lawsuit, filed on December 8, claims that Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter, alongside Sean “Diddy” Combs, sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl after the 2000 Video Music Awards. Jay-Z Denies the Allegations

Jay-Z, 55, has vehemently denied the accusations and has urged the accuser to pursue criminal charges rather than a civil lawsuit. In a statement shared on Roc Nation’s X page, Jay-Z stated, “These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away.”

The rapper also criticized lawyer Tony Buzbee, who represents several accusers of Diddy, claiming that Buzbee is motivated by financial gain. Jay-Z added, “This lawyer… seems to have a pattern of these types of theatrics. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type.”

Impact on Jay-Z’s Family

In his statement, Jay-Z expressed the emotional toll the lawsuit has had on his family. He stated, “My only heartbreak is for my family,” noting that he and his wife will have to explain the situation to their children, addressing the cruelty and greed of the allegations.

Accuser Acknowledges Inconsistencies

The accuser, identified as Jane Doe in the legal documents, spoke to NBC News about the case. In the interview, she acknowledged making “some mistakes” in her account. Despite the inconsistencies in her memories, she maintains that her accusations are valid. You can watch the full interview on NBC News.

The 38-year-old woman, who also has autism, claimed that her father picked her up after the assault, but he denies this version of events. She also said she spoke with Benji Madden at the after-party, though a representative confirmed Madden was not in New York City at the time. Photos from that evening show Jay-Z and Diddy at a different location, although their exact whereabouts remain unclear.

Legal Developments and Requests for Dismissal

Jay-Z’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has filed a motion to expedite the dismissal of the case. He has requested that the court shorten the filing deadline for the dismissal from 21 days to just one day. Spiro argues that the case is baseless and that the claims made are unsubstantiated. Further details on this legal request can be found on Page Six.

Jay-Z Slams the Lawsuit as a Publicity Stunt

His attorney further stated that it is “stunning” that such serious accusations were made without proper vetting and urged the court to dismiss the case immediately.

Buzbee Defends His Client
