Plus-Sized Model Calls for Bigger Rollercoaster Seats After Struggling to Ride
Gracie Bon Highlights Challenges of Plus-Sized People at Theme Parks
Gracie Bon, a popular plus-sized model with 9.6 million Instagram followers and 452.8K TikTok followers, is calling on theme parks to make accommodations for larger individuals. Known for her outspoken stance on body positivity, the 27-year-old from Panama has shared several personal challenges related to her voluptuous figure, especially in public spaces.
In a recent TikTok video posted on November 11, Gracie Bon took to the platform to highlight a common issue she faces at theme parks: rollercoaster seats that are too small for her. In the video, Bon can be seen attempting to sit in the “small” seats of a rollercoaster, only for the seatbelt to fail to close. She captioned the video, “Please just make the seats bigger,” in both English and Spanish, urging for change. You can watch her TikTok video below:

A Viral Moment on TikTok
Bon’s video included a voiceover set to No Doubt’s “Just A Girl,” where she explained, “When you want to get on the roller coaster. I tried to do the seat test, only size XL girls will understand. The seat belt didn’t close, these things happen to me because I have big legs.”
Her video garnered mixed reactions from viewers. Some criticized her for making an issue out of the situation, with one user commenting, “Stop making everything a problem!! The world doesn’t revolve around you!!” Others echoed similar sentiments, questioning why theme parks should make changes for individuals with larger body sizes.
However, Bon also received support from many who agreed with her call for inclusivity. One user wrote, “They should make them bigger!! It’s 2024, we come in ALL SIZES!!”

Gracie Bon’s Ongoing Advocacy for Bigger Spaces
This isn’t the first time Bon has addressed the challenge of fitting into spaces designed for average-sized people. Previously, she shared a video of herself struggling to fit into an airplane seat, even while flying first class. “Airplanes should have bigger seats,” Bon said in the video. “It’s not my fault to have an a** this big. Please just make them bigger!”

Bon claimed that after this, she was allegedly banned from several airlines for speaking out about the issue, which she believes is linked to her natural body shape. As a result, she has since taken to traveling in a private jet. In another TikTok post, she showcased her new luxurious travel arrangement, highlighting the spacious interior and “VIP” bathroom, describing it as “the best thing that has happened” to her.

Could Bon Create Her Own Theme Park?
Given her advocacy for more inclusive seating, could Gracie Bon one day design her own theme park with accommodations tailored to her needs? Only time will tell.
